May 13, 20202000 words • Students will be required to answer or address a question relating to the topics, ideas and frameworks which the module content relates to. • Students will also be required to make use of a different theoretical perspective in their answers. • Students should aim to include conceptual, theoretical and empirical material in their answers, which at level 6 should also be characterised by a strong critical evaluative component. • Guidance on how students should complete the assessment task will be given in class – you should attend such guidance sessions. Success will also depend on regular attendance at all teaching sessions, and full engagement with formative tasks. • To achieve maximum success in the task students should: (a) engage in wide reading from appropriate sources; (b) avoid using lecture notes and PowerPoint slides as direct sources of content; (d) make appropriate use of theory and concepts in the analysis of race and ethnicity related topics etc. (e) Include some citations of sources; (f) follow the formal instructions with respect to referencing;
