May 21, 2020Please locate a scholarly article to review from the past three years (2014-present) in a professional journal such as College & Research Libraries, Journal of Academic Librarianship, Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Library and Information Science Research, Library Quarterly, Library Resources & Technical Services, Medical Reference Services Quarterly, portal: Libraries and the Academy, Reference & User Services Quarterly, The Reference Librarian, Reference Services Review, RQ, or Research Strategies. Please do not use American Libraries, Library Journal, regional publications such as Colorado Libraries, or any other journal that does not feature scholarship. The article should be at least 10 pages long and should relate to some issue addressed in the Cassell and Hiremath chapters concerning “Bibliographic Resources,” “Indexing and Full-Text Databases,” or “Health, Legal, and Business Resources.” It should show evidence that research/scholarship has been conducted in its preparation (look for footnotes, graphs, charts, statistics). The article should not be a review–there is little value in reviewing a piece that is itself a review!
