This can come from any form of media (e.g. lyrics to songs, t.v. commercials, newspapers, magazine ads, t.v. shows, etc.). In a 1 page summary, list the examples (and when possible, bring in a copy of the examples) and describe why you believe they reflect negative stereotypes and how it might impact the identity development of African Americans. Example: Some criticize the portrayal of Martin Lawrence as a buffoon on his t.v. show Martin, that he plays the stereotypical role of an unintelligent black male.
