Iam 2nd year college student very much interested in a career in the natural gas sector. Iam applying to an energy company that mainly supplies power across the united states and also deals with the extraction and transportation of natural gas across the united states As for experiences, I faced challenged when I changed high schools of my second year of college and moved to a high school that was far much ahead of the syllabus than my previous school. I was a top performer in my first school but was very surprised when moved schools and took my first exam and was ranked 250/267 in my year. The school I moved to was one of the most highly ranked schools in Kenya.Classes were fast paced and I was nearly behind worth a year if course work by the time I joined the school. Being a strict boarding school, Classes began AT 6AM and ended at 9.30 pm after our evening preps.(IT WAS A BOARDING SCHOOL) I had to be up by 4am everyday and seated in class by 4.30 am to try read and catch up with the rest of the students. I HAD TO TURN DEFEAT INTO VICTORY. . I gradually made it to the top and graduated with an A. I needed to do well in because my ultimate goal was to pursue a degree I chemical engineering which is not offered in any of the colleges in Kenya.I knew without good grades I would not be able to get into any college in the United States so this was my sole motivation. Kenya is in the process of discovering oil and I would love to be part of the team that oversees that discovery of oil successfully. Interests I recently wrote a paper on natural gas and its importance in one of my classes Strongly advocate for the adoption of renewable energy scources by companies.( the company I am applying to advocates for this too as they are involved in natural gas production) Instructions 1. Incorpotate my challenges I mentioned that I faced in high school and my interest in natural gas and cleaner energy methods to explain the contributions I will bring to the energy company I am applying to. 2. Use my high school experience to prove that I am dedicated and hardworking and a good problem solver and how it I will be able to contribute to this company.
