Many common chronic diseases are influenced by genomic factors. For this discussion you will examine the ways in which genomic factors influence a specific health problem. Examples of complex health problems you might consider for your discussion post are types of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and psychiatric or behavioral disorders. For your initial post, select one chronic health problem that is influenced by genetic and genomic factors and address the following. Summarize the pathophysiology as well as the signs and symptoms of your chosen chronic condition. Analyze the ways in which genetic and genomic factors influence the following: Rate of occurrence of the condition. Severity and presentation of symptoms or complications related to the condition. Diagnosis, detection, and treatment of the identified chronic condition. Explain a way that the genetic and genomic factors could potentially be used to more effectively assess groups that are at risk for the condition. Sources can be no more than five years old
