June 19, 2020This Assignment will focus on the controversial issue surrounding whether the juvenile courts should be restructured or even abolished. For this Assignment, read the following article in the Library: Soulier, M. F., & Scott, C. L. (2010). Juveniles in court. Harvard Review of Psychiatry, 18(6), 317–325. After reading the article, write a 3–5-page summary article addressing the following: What is the author’s main points regarding abolishing the juvenile court? (There are several, so read carefully!) What are the strengths and weaknesses of his arguments? Do you agree with his ideas? Why, or why not? What does this article contribute to the field of juvenile justice? If his suggestions are followed, what might be the implications in society and in the field of juvenile justice? Include examples to support your position. Note: This paper requires outside research. Use at least two credible outside research sources, including academic journals, to support your position. Discuss how you evaluated the credibility of the resources used. You may consult the Library, the internet, the textbook, other course material, and any other outside resources in supporting your task, using proper citations in APA style.
