Examples of topics that could be written about successfully include: – A discussion of a particular program, to include how the program could be improved, – A discussion of how mitigation strategies were enacted by a State or local government, – A discussion of how the federal government has encouraged preparedness against a certain type of threat, – A discussion of a statute/law designed to encourage mitigation or preparedness against a certain threat, Section 1 – Brief preliminary outline After thinking about where you want this paper to go, you should at least be able to develop an outline to at least the 3rd level of detail (I-A-1 level in standard U.S. outlining) Section I of the outline should be an introduction section The final section of the outline should be a conclusion section I have attached a brief guide on “how to outline” to this Assignment page Section 2 – Preliminary reference list present at least 5 preliminary references that seem to support your proposed topic these do not have to be the final references that you do use for the final paper, but the class text (or other class materials) should not be in the 5 present these preliminary references in APA-6 format 1 page outline and 2 page references
