June 27, 2020This assignment requires you to conduct an interview with an investigator. This interview may be a challenge to schedule as most investigators carry heavy caseloads. This is part of the challenge for this assignment. Investigators often have to be politely persistent to find witnesses and other parties to a crime. Don’t give up on this one! Ask your instructor for guidance if needed. When you do get your interview, dress professionally, be on time, and have your questions and your notepad ready! Directions Document the dates, times and person(s) you contacted and the notes of your discussion with them to get this interview arranged. Document the name, title, agency, and address for the person you interviewed. Use proper note-taking methods. Ask the criminal investigator the following questions: What information do you record during an investigation? What are the consequences if you inadvertently miss recording information? How do you identify and process evidence? What is the most difficult aspect of this process? What are the different methods used for identification? What process do you prefer? What are the best and worst responsibilities of a criminal investigator? Add additional questions of your choice.
