June 27, 2020Review the advantages and disadvantages of photographs as discussed in Chapter 2 of the textbook. In your Learning Plan material, you were asked to take photos of evidence and record a video of a ‘crime scene walkthrough’. Review the evidence photos and video that you took. Select either the digital photos or the video you recorded and upload for this discussion post. Then, write a post addressing the following questions. 1. With “photo-shop” technology should jurors be suspicious of photographs as evidence? 2. What does an investigator have to testify to for digital photographs or video to be introduced as evidence in court? 3. Would your photographs or video be acceptable as evidence if they were taken in a real case? Why or why not? 4. What about photographs taken at the scene by bystanders? If you are the officer on the scene, would you consider these photographs evidence? Why or why not
