June 30, 2020The purpose of this exercise is to help you understand that growth and development is lifelong, multidimensional, multidirectional, plastic, multidisciplinary, and contextual. After reading the chapter on development and research design, you will reflect on your own life story. Select an event/experience in your life (positive or negative) that led to your own personal growth and development. Write a two-page report in which you demonstrate through your own case study how this event influenced your cognitive, biological, and socioemotional growth. Be specific and clear. This exercise is not meant to be a therapeutic strategy but rather a hands-on approach to doing-life span and development. Sample topics are the starting of a family, death of someone special, divorce, marriage, teen pregnancy, etc. Again, pick a topic/area that you feel comfortable discussing. Then, show how you grew or gained from the experience. Be prepared to share in a small group setting on a voluntary basis (optional). Technical instructions: When composing your paper please use font 12, Times New Roman, standard margins, and double space. The paper will consist of three pages. The first page will be a picture of you (any stage in life but should be a representation of you). The other two pages will be your composition. Autograph your work with excellence. Ensure that your composition is grammatically intact.
