My SWOT analysis is for a community affairs council within a city government. The council supports many different areas within the city government, but the focus for my SWOT analysis will be programs presented to the community being used. The strengths listed in the analysis are the foundation to build the strategy upon. The weaknesses must be modified because they make the company susceptible to being ineligible for any opportunities to improve and grow. The opportunities should be pursued by the company according to their abilities and resources available. The external threats should be considered, and strengths should be maximized to minimize the threats impact. One of the changes that can be made based on the SWOT analysis is increasing partnerships with non-profits to help engage more minority communities. Another change would be to campaign for volunteers to attract people to programs that not always well-known. Additionally, partnerships between city departments should work together closely to create and implement more programs for at-risk teens. These changes will address the change in demographics to learn what the community’s needs are and raise community awareness.
