Assessment Grading Your work will be marked in grades rather than percentages. This is considered to deliver the most accurate and fair outcomes for students. Each assignment that you undertake will be assessed using the common grading system. Information about the grading system can be found in your Course Handbook. The Grade Criteria for Level 4 modules can be found in Appendix 1. 5. Assessment 1 Details 5.1 Task The task is split into two components part 1 and part 2 as described below Part 1 Individual Report (20%) You should produce a 1000 word report that addresses the criteria below Assignment Description This assignment gives you hands-on experience using one of several marketing concepts and principles that are used in daily business operations. Think about one or more marketing concepts and principles that could apply to an organisation of your choice. Choose the most relevant marketing concepts and use it to analyse the company using the marketing concepts you learnt and then make recommendations. In no more than 1000 words explain the concepts you are investigating and apply them to your organisation. In the process, you should provide some details or background on the industry in which the organisation operates. The report will be 1000 words excluding the reference list and appendices (1.5 spaced, 12-point font, 2.5 cm margins on all sides). You may use up to five pages of additional appendices. Please organise your report as follows: 1. Introduction (introduce the organization you are going to address, then state which marketing concepts you will apply) (2%) 2. Discussion and application of theory (12%) a. Explain the use of marketing concepts and key terminologies for your selected business. b. Below is what you must include in your slides. You will be presenting the10-minute Power Point to the class covering flowing questions. Make sure that you save the Power Point either in your school folder or on a flash drive. You should test it ahead of time to ensure it will open up appropriately on the university computers. Each slide should have the heading at the top. 1. Clearly conveys to the audience your research and how you apply marketing concepts to the organisation and consumers buying decisions under various conditions for your selected business. 2. Persuades your audience about your ability to productively and successfully research these topics Presentations will be held during class Presentation Format: 10 minute presentation utilizing multimedia of PowerPoint. The following criteria will be used to evaluate the presentation 1. The content. Was it clearly communicated with important points emphasized? 2. PowerPoint.
