You need to discuss an acquisition of a developed economy firm by an emerging market MNE (EM-MNE) or a merger between such firms, which was completed in or after 2010. You have the choice to select the M&A case for your discussion. Your report should: – Discuss and critique the theoretical frameworks that address this M&A phenomenon in general and your selected case in particular. – Discuss the specific motives for choosing the M&A route, over others, and choosing the particular partner taking into account the firms’ resource positions and their industrial and institutional environments. – Discuss the fit between the deal partners, any potential risks and the outcomes of the deal.
