Critically discuss how leadership processes vary across cultures using relevant theories/models and examples. Your analysis and argumentation should be based on recently published literature (post 2000) with a specific focus on academic journals. Coursework assignment 2 assessment criteria: • Understanding of relevant issues – 20% • Good evidence of literature search which will be based on the number and quality of articles used – 40% • Ability to think and analyse critically – 20% • Evaluation and synthesis of substantial arguments from the source material – 10% • Structure, presentation and referencing – 10% Students are expected to search current literature mainly published after 2000 and develop arguments related to the cross-cultural issues relevant to leadership. For example, they can discuss cultural differences in leadership style and applicability of standard leadership theories to different cultural contexts, emphasising the implications for people and organisations. The assignment should be well balanced with an appropriate and well considered introduction and conclusion and with a logical development of the arguments. The assignment should be presented in a logical and coherent way. References should be made to a comprehensive range of literature, extending beyond what was discussed in class, cited appropriately in the text of the assignment, and in the list of references (using the Harvard referencing style).
