I. In class, we addressed how decolonization ultimately left worldwide “remnants of the colonial system” that impacted independent nations well after they were free from colonial rule. Pulling from our classroom examinations, discuss how the remnants colonial systems in these countries helped contribute to the Rwandan Genocide and Apartheid in South Africa. Lastly, discuss how both nations have addressed and fared in the aftermath of these events.
