Content Requirement Breakeven Calculation Please review Figure 3.9 in your course text, “Breakeven Calculation Including Profitability and Overhead.” Use the text and your own investigation to reply to the following mini case: John is a manager for medical practice where there are five physicians and two nurse practitioners. A major employer with Blue Cross Blue Shield in the area has sent many patients to the clinic. In fact, they comprise about 30% of the patient load. The employer is changing the policy and raising the deductible for employees from $1000 per person to $2500 per person. The following are expected to remain the same for the foreseeable future: Fixed Costs, Annual Allocation of Investment Costs, Overhead, Desired Profit and Variable Cost per Unit. Please describe three things in a brief report (apply paper) as an advisor to John. Describe 1) what you expect to occur in terms of John’s current break even analysis in the first six months after the employer change and 2) what your strategy might be to address any changes. 3) Also describe what other information you might wish to obtain to provide additional advice to John.
